Well done to George who shared his learning commitment with us this week.  What a great powerpoint about your holiday!

George Street Normal School has won a "National School of Character Award".  This is a great achievement for our school.  Well done to everyone who displays our character values at school!

Welcome to Sam Guthrie who is a second year College of Education/University of Otago student.  He will be assisting and teaching in our classroom over the next few weeks.

This week is 'Character Counts Week'.  We have been looking at how we can be respectful at school and at home.  We have been completing lots of fun activities and celebrating our character values.  Four children in Room 11 won a golden ticket for being respectful in Room 11.  They got to attend a special morning tea on Friday.

On the last day of term we had a special surprise. Manu's dog Cappuccino came to visit us. Cappuccino was very friendly as well as very clever. He could do lots of great tricks like rolling over and even opening the door!

Today Elgregoe the Magician came to visit school. He showed us his birds, puppets and heaps of neat magic tricks. He told us that we have the power to stop bullying by treating others nicely and making our school a special place to be.

We had a super cute special visitor to Room 11. Hayley brought along her cute little puppy 'Lollipop' to visit us. Lollipop is a 'Schnoddle', which is a Schnauzer and a Poddle.
